The right service frequency depends on how your pool is used, not just its size.
Weekly and bi-weekly maintenance may look similar on paper, but the experience is very different in practice. The right choice depends on how often you swim, how much debris your pool collects, and whether you want proactive care or reactive cleanup.
Why weekly maintenance wins for most homeowners
Weekly visits keep chemistry stable, surfaces brushed before scale or algae take hold, and equipment checked before small issues become repairs. For busy families, that consistency is the whole point: the pool stays ready without becoming another project.
When bi-weekly might be considered
Bi-weekly service can work for lightly used pools in cooler months or properties with excellent daily circulation and minimal landscaping debris. Even then, water chemistry can drift quickly in Conejo Valley heat.
If you choose a lighter schedule, plan on more owner involvement between visits. That means testing water, emptying baskets, and watching for early algae or clarity changes.
Our recommendation
Most of our residential clients in Westlake Village, Simi Valley, and Newbury Park choose weekly service because it costs less over time than recovering from neglected water. We are happy to walk your property and recommend what actually fits.
